Is this real silk or silk-feel?

Real silk. 100% Vietnamese mulberry silk, crepe satin weave, 19 momme. The fabric content is on the garment label. To verify at home: pull a single thread from an inside seam and hold it to a flame. Silk burns slowly, smells like singed hair, and leaves crushable ash. Polyester melts and leaves a hard plastic bead.

What does 19 momme mean?

Momme is the density measure for silk — how much silk is woven into a square metre. 19 momme is ideal for sleepwear: heavy enough to drape beautifully and last, light enough to sleep comfortably in. Under 12 momme is delicate and prone to snagging. Over 25 starts to feel formal rather than wearable.

How do I care for it?

Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent, or machine wash on delicate in a mesh bag. Lay flat to dry — never wring, never tumble dry. Iron on the lowest silk setting with a cloth between the iron and the fabric if needed.

What size should I order?

Our silk slips run true to size. The straps are adjustable. If you're between sizes, size up — silk drapes better with a little ease.

Does silk really make a difference for sleep?

Yes. Silk doesn't strip moisture from your skin overnight the way cotton does. It creates almost no friction against your hair, which reduces breakage and frizz. And unlike polyester, it breathes — regulating your temperature instead of trapping heat against your skin.
