The simplest upgrade to your sleep routine.
A silk pillowcase works because of what it doesn't do. Unlike cotton, it doesn't absorb moisture from your skin and hair while you sleep. Unlike polyester, it doesn't create friction that roughens hair cuticles and contributes to frizz and breakage. The surface is smooth enough that your skin and hair glide across it rather than dragging.
The result over time: less frizz in the morning, less crease marks on your face, less moisture stripped from skin that you're trying to keep hydrated with expensive serums.
& moon's pillowcase is 100% mulberry silk with a zipper closure to keep your pillow in place through the night. Available in black and beige.

FAQ — Silk Pillowcase
What's the difference between a silk pillowcase and a satin pillowcase? Satin is a weave — it can be made from polyester or silk. A polyester satin pillowcase has a similar sheen but doesn't have the moisture-retaining or genuinely smooth properties of real silk. The & moon pillowcase is 100% mulberry silk, not polyester satin.
Does a silk pillowcase help with acne? Silk is naturally hypoallergenic and doesn't harbour bacteria the way cotton does. It also doesn't trap the oils and skincare products from your face as readily as cotton, which can contribute to breakouts. It won't cure acne, but it removes one environmental factor that can aggravate it.
How often should I wash my silk pillowcase? Every 1–2 weeks, or more frequently if you use heavy skincare products or hair products at night. Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent.
